In the cable structure system, wired solution can be messy and a well-organized cable management patch panel is essential to manage high-density structured cabling in different applications. A patch panel is a hardware with multiple ports that helps to organize a group of wires or cables. Patch panel can be small only with a few ports, or be very large with hundreds of ports. They can be set up for fiber optic cables and Ethernet Cables.
Patch panel cable manager can be divided into two types, fiber optic patch panel and Ethernet network patch panel. Here introduce the network patch panel.
Ethernet Patch Panel
This network patch panel is an ideal method to create a flexible, reliable and tidy solution in cabling infrastructure system, designed to set up for Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a or Cat7 copper cables, ideal for data, voice, and audio/video Ethernet cabling systems.

• Installer-friendly design allows for quick installation and organization the cabling in your network
• Flexible management on cable connectivity, easier to move, add or change the cabling infrastructures
• Providing an economical and superior cable management solution for organizing patch cords and maintaining required bend radius
Types of Ethernet Patch Panel
The Ethernet network patch panel can be divided into two parts, CAT5/CAT6/CAT7 Ethernet Patch Panel and Blank Keystone Patch Panel.
CAT5 patch panel or CAT6 patch panel, they are designed for both shielded and Unshielded copper cables like Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cab7 Ethernet cables. Cat5 patch panels and Cat6 patch panels are commonly used, which comes with the feed-through and punch-down design, a type of pre-loaded patch panel.
Blank Keystone Patch Panel, also called unloaded patch panel, is an optional Ethernet patch panel that can run different types of networking cable. Different from pre-loaded patch panel with built-in RJ45 ports, this empty patch panel can be used for Cat5/Cat6 cables at the same time. While this blank patch panel accommodates all keystone jacks, including RJ45 Ethernet, HDMI audio/video, voice and USB applications. The keystone jacks can be snapped in and removed easily.
Applications
• Ethernet connectivity
• Data center applications
• Private/enterprise networks
• Ethernet connectivity and cabling structure

Q&A
Q:Are the cabling standards backward compatible to lower standards?
A: Yes. You can use a Category 6 cable to run 10Mbps Ethernet, or just for voice.
Q: What is the difference between megabits and megahertz?
A: MHz is the frequency or rate at which a wave will cycle per second. 1 Megahertz would be equal to 10^6 Hertz or 1 million cycles per second. Mbps refers to the how many bits of data is transmitted trough a media (such as fiber optic cable) per second. MHz and Mbps are not equal, the confusion occurs because MHz works with analogue signals while a data transfer occurs digitally.
Q: Can I plug a cat6a cable into a cat5e jack?
A: Yes. Cat6/6a Cable can work on Cat5/5e network. It is backward compatible with previous specifications, which means it can be effectively used with Cat5 network. Category 6a cable has better specifications than 5 or 5e, enabling it to support faster data transmission when installed with compatible devices.
Q: Does the brand of Ethernet network cable matter?
A: Generally speaking, there isn’t much difference from brand to brand. As most of the Ethernet copper cables are made under the same specification.
